How to join a live Bible study
Open the invitation link your host sends, or choose Join a Bible Study on the home page and enter the six-character meeting code. Add your display name and wait for the host to admit you. You can join as a guest without creating an account.
Your camera and microphone start off. When you are ready to speak or be seen, enable them and allow your browser to use the device. A current browser and a reliable internet connection help everyone hear the conversation clearly.
How to host your group
Create an account or sign in, then choose Start a Bible Study. Share the room invitation with the people you want to gather. Live rooms support up to eight people at a time.
The host admits participants and can display Scripture and lesson points for the group. Video, audio, chat, screen sharing, and hand raising help everyone take part. You can also prepare a subject and passage in Sermons & Lessons before your meeting.
An easy plan for your first meeting
Choose a manageable passage and leave time for people to think. You do not need to cover an entire book in one meeting.
- Welcome the group and explain the passage you will read.
- Read the passage together and notice repeated words or ideas.
- Ask what the passage teaches in its context.
- Discuss one way to put the teaching into practice.
- Finish with prayer and agree on the next chapter.
Optional notes and recordings
Smart Notes starts only when the host allows transcription of their microphone and a participant turns on their own notes. Choose English, French, Haitian Creole, or Spanish. Automated notes can contain mistakes, so check important points against Scripture and the teaching.
Recording is optional and is never started automatically. A signed-in host or participant can choose to record, subject to the room’s consent controls. Guests can keep participating without signing in; an account is required when they choose Record.
