Who can record a session?
A host or participant with a BiblaLive account can choose Record during a live session. A guest without an account sees a simple sign-in or sign-up prompt when they try to record. Joining and participating as a guest still works without an account.
Sessions are not recorded automatically. Participants choose consent using the room’s recording controls. Make sure the people in your study understand what you plan to record and how you plan to use it.
Find and organize your saved videos
After a recording finishes uploading successfully, it appears in the recorder’s My Recordings collection. Each recording belongs to the account that recorded it. Open a video to play it, change its name, or download it.
Search by study or host and use the sorting controls to find a session. The recording workspace also includes Trash, so you can manage videos you no longer want in your main collection. A recording that has not finished saving should not be treated as a completed backup.
Share only when you choose
Saved recordings are private until you create a share link. Use the recording’s sharing controls when you want someone else to watch, and revoke share links when you no longer want the link to work.
A share link is access to that recording. Send it only to intended viewers. Public search pages do not list account videos, private notes, or unshared recordings.
If a recording does not save
Keep the study tab open while saving finishes and check that your connection is stable. Look for the upload or error message rather than assuming that closing the recorder completed the upload. If a download is available, keep a local copy before leaving the page.
Browser capabilities, storage, and connection quality can affect recording. If the screen shows an error, note its exact wording and the device and browser you are using; this is more useful for troubleshooting than repeatedly restarting the session.
Common questions
Can a participant record without being the host?
Yes. A signed-in participant can choose Record, subject to the session’s consent controls. The recording is saved to the recorder’s own account.
Are my saved videos public?
No. My Recordings is an account workspace. A saved recording remains private until its owner deliberately creates a share link.
